CEAL@UNC submitted a Statement for the Congressional Record related to the introduction of the Long-Term Care Workforce Support Act by Senator Robert Casey (D-PA), Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA), and Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI). This act recognizes the essential role of professional caregivers in serving older adults and those with disabilities in a variety of home, community-based, and skilled nursing settings, including assisted living. The Senate Special Committee on Aging Hearing “The Long-Term Care Workforce: Addressing Shortages and Improving the Profession” on April 16, 2024 related to the Act’s introduction.
