This study focused on the experiences of 42 older adults relating to a live therapeutic music performance conducted in 1 Veterans Affairs Medical Center and 2 AL communities. Generally, participants enjoyed the performance and felt music was important in their lives; results indicate that customized therapeutic music could be supportive of a relaxed atmosphere.
