CEAL@UNC Executive Director Sheryl Zimmerman was recently quoted in McKnight’s Senior Living discussing the ongoing National Dementia Workforce Study (NDWS).
This large-scale study of the dementia care workforce includes community clinicians, and nursing home, assisted living, and home care staff, and is novel in recognizing the importance of assisted living. The publicly available data characterize the support that the workforce receives and needs; they can identify areas of strength and areas in which one sector can learn from another.
