CEAL@UNC’s comment to the 2028 Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Quality Measure Set proposed by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services was recently highlighted in McKnight’s Senior Living.
As noted by McKnight’s, CEAL@UNC’s comment was one of 101 submitted to CMS related to the proposed Quality Measure Set. CEAL@UNC expressed support for the goals of “advancing transparency, accountability and quality improvement within HCBS programs,” while also identifying areas of concern related to the representativeness of data, applicability of proposed measures to assisted living, and the feasibility and unintended consequences of data collection.
